I’m 22 years old and I’ve been meeting with the local churches since I was around 10, when I got saved. At first, I didn’t realize the significance of meeting with the local churches. Gradually though, through the writings of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, I began to see the local church in a new light. I began to appreciate meeting in the local church. I’m thankful to the Lord for creating in me the desire to pursue Him.

The ministries of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee have been tremendously helpful to me. The Lord has revealed so much to these two Christian brothers. By reading these ministries, I’m becoming more enlightened every day. I’m now seeing what it means to be in the Body of Christ. The church is the living Body of Christ. All the members constitute this Body. We are parts of a whole. Therefore, the Body of Christ is made up of all the believers in Christ.

Individually I’m nothing—I can do nothing. But praise the Lord in the Body I have the supply and I can overcome anything. I’ve always wanted to be independent and to do my own thing, but, I now realize that I need to be in the Body. I need to be dependent on the other members. The human body is a great picture. The little pinkie can only function and live when it’s connected to the body. If it gets cut off, it dies because the life (blood) doesn’t flow to it. Likewise, I need to stay in the flow to live. Praise the Lord for His Life in His Body!!!
